Senior Investment Manager European High Yield

Your department and challenge

The Global Credit boutique of our client manages a broad range of funds and mandates that invest in Investment Grade and High Yield corporate credit instruments. As part of this, the team has more than Euro 3.5 bln. assets in High Yield corporate bonds under management of which Euro 1.5 bln. European High Yield assets. The global credit team consists of portfolio managers and investment analysts in the US, Europe and Asia. To help manage these assets, we are looking for an Investment Manager European High Yield with proven industry knowledge and experience.

Your main responsibilities

• To improve and maintain the investment approach and process, with the objective of generating outperformance versus benchmark and peers in a risk aware manner.
• To provide top-quality bottom-up company financial modeling, analysis, forecasts and valuation for issuers active in the high yield market.
• To ensure that the research process is consistently applied across all securities under coverage.
• To generate value-adding investment ideas and recommendations on issuers and debt instruments.
• To present the investment strategy and performance to our diverse global client base.
• To support the marketing and sales of the strategy to clients and prospects.
• To develop and maintain strong relationships with other investment teams within the company and sell-side firms.

Your experience and skills

• Significant buy-side experience (at least 5 years) managing High Yield portfolios.
• Experience in conducting fundamental fixed income credit research.
• Deep understanding of the High Yield markets and performance drivers.
• Relevant Master degree plus CFA or other relevant professional qualification is a preference.
• Fluency in written and verbal English
